There are reasons to buy a rift or vive for sure, but for me there is no reason to pay 700+ euro for that. Google Cardboard or his pendants of plastic are much cheaper and if you have a phone like me, they will have a much cleaner resolution than the "actual vr headset". (Maybe the Rift and Vive a little bigger, which will result in a smaller ppi) PSVR has about 386ppi, Rift and Vive about 433ppi, my phone 534ppi with nearly the same display size.
